No 2 & No 2A

 

This is our formal uniform, also called "light blues" or "wedgwoods" after the light blue colour of the shirt.

It's worn for more official occasions such as parade, visits by VIPs and for OC's inspections where awards and promotions are made.

On the training programme it will be referred to as:

  • No2 (with jersey)
  • No 2A (without jersey)

 

Parts of the uniform for No 2 & No 2A

  • Beret

  • Male Cadets: No2 Trousers with 1" belt

  • Female Cadets: No2 Skirt or Slacks
  • RAF blue shirt and black tie
  • Jersey
  • Brassard, rank slides & lanyard (if applicable)
  • Black socks or "Barely black" tights
  • Black shoes
  • Foul Weather Jacket (if required)
  • RAF stable belt (non-ceremonial duties, private purchase)
  • White belt and gloves (if issued)

During warm weather the jersey may be removed.  This is refered to as "No 2A".
